He can hug whoever he likes, but he can't force anybody else to a hug. I don't know how the law is about that, but morally is just unacceptable. You are the one to decide who you want to hug.
I am going to try to have him reword it to say a hug from an employee. That way I can have my manager do the hugging if I am uncomfortable. Really I think the owner is just clueless.
