As near as I can tell, this game fixes everything about RP that has given me trouble lately.

It's prose-based which is still the format I prefer, despite a long foray into bracket RP. That's awesome.

It's new so I don't have to feel like I'm butting into CR or fighting to pry fresh CR from already-busy characters.

It's AU so Yaichirou can be homesick in moderation, but he's allowed to do shit like write letters to Momma Shimogamo and he's not totally removed from his element, which was huge.

Another bonus of AU: it doesn't matter that I will never have castmates, because I can plot AU histories with the other characters.

Already I've got shit with Kama's Kou and a Tenpou who wants to know bratty teenager Yaichirou.

AND one of the things I was worried about was that there would be precisely no one who Yaichirou could respect enough to ever Drift with (Pacific Rim game) annnnnnd just on the test drive?

Look at this beautiful train wreck. They are both atrocious in almost the same way.

I mean. Early days and all, but I have a really good feeling about this.
