(that question is rhetorical)
SUPERNATURAL IS SET IN MY TOWN!!!
(which looks nothing like Vancouver)
This episode is MOST icky!
Fish taco!!!
This may be an icky episode but YUM to Jared's arms & legs!!! I could watch that boy work out all day (as long as I didn't have to hold downward dog for 5 minutes.)
I feel like Sam and Dean are having the exact same argument they had 6 years ago after Dean made the Deal.
they are, but I feel like the stakes are higher this time.
What a icky episode! Really creeped me out! And I am really getting pissed at Sam! Get over it already!!
patronus01: Except Dean hasn't sold his soul this time.
Yeah but the argument is still the same, it's about the lengths Dean will go to to save Sammy, whether they're really a good thing or not.
It's really sad because they talked about things but they didn't really didn't talk about the love they have for each other. I think it would go a long way if Dean added what he
said way back in earlier episodes. That he didn't want to do it alone...that he wanted to be with his brother...that he loves his brother. Without that statement, it kind of looks like to Sam that he's being
selfish. We all know that he truly loves his brother but he doesn't vocalize that very well.
I see that they are dragging this out longer. Looks like we get some comic relief next time.
GloamingOrchid: You're so right...they have been through so much together (and apart) and that has changed them.
On a funnier note, Dean always gets himself in trouble with the food. What was that dessert? Caramelized something?
To me Sam saying he wouldn't have done the same for Dean comes down to the fact that what Dean did went against Sam's choice for himself, which I've always seen as the the crux of the whole Gadreel thing. Just
like you have to read b/t the lines with Dean as PadaPuppy said, you have to read b/t the lines with Sam. I think what it came down to is that he would not go against a choice that Dean makes for himself, and
that's the lesson he's learned over the years...that part of your love for someone needs to include respect for their wishes and choices (unless they're outright wrong and you know it). But Sam's choice to let
go wasn't wrong in that case, not like Ruby or anything was...it was his choice. But unfortunately like Dean didn't say his innermost reasons Sam didn't say his, b/c the writers want to drag this out. They both
need to talk it out more and say what they really feel, b/c there's definitely more there. And there's definitely deep love there, on both sides, but expressed in different ways...just, in the case of right
now, not very well on either side. But it is there, at their core, always has been and if the writers know their own show at all, always will be. It's up to them to have both boys TRULY show themselves so they
can let that love shine thru again.
I'm sorry but I still feel Sam is wrong in holding a grudge. The way he is being written is really making me not like the character. He is coming across as self righteous.
Well I felt the same about Dean's grudge in S5, that's the nature of a conflict. But since then - tho I don't always do it 20/20 - I have started trying to see both sides and Dean was redeemed from then for me,
tho it sure didn't happen overnight. Hopefully Sam can someday be redeemed for you too.
ShutterBugs: The dessert was salted caramel pudding. And you know how Dean likes "pudding"!
The writers just want to drag it out so Sam's comments were subject to interpretation by Dean. Now Dean thinks Sam wouldn't try to save him when Sam is saying he'd honor Dean's wish to die if their roles were
reversed. Assuming that's what Sam really meant that is. I gotta say I'm tired of the communication issues between the two of them.
Zofia27: They are dragging out way too long! It is getting to the point I dread the scenes with the 2 of them at the end. I'm hoping for some Cas scenes next week!
@Zo: You said that way more concisely than I did. Thanks! LOL. And I 100% believe that's exactly what Sam meant...if he no longer cared about Dean he would have left him to be passed out in the kitchen instead
of came running. But it's sadly like you also said, the writers just want to drag this out and so they make them not say what they really mean. It does suck.
MysticKitty512: They need to turn it around soon. His character has changed so much these past 2 years. Not sure why the writers are doing this. It is really getting old. I miss the Sam of the early years.
MysticKitty512:
You're welcome! And we all know that Sam cares about Dean but he came off as cold when he told Dean he wouldn't have done the same. It's just stupid on the writers part to confuse
things like that for "dramatic effect" or whatever.
I just want them to be in the car shooting the bull with each other and maybe playing a few pranks.
Why can't I have that????
Metalligirl: I second that!!! Bring back the good old days!
I know! I am soooo over all the never-ending angst between those two. I just want them both back on the same page again.
Much agreed. After this is over, ENOUGH ALREADY, writers!!! You don't need a big rift b/t brothers every dang season like it's been to keep the show going! Just let the boys be the boys...that's ALL we need!
