My vet called the supplier, and it turns out they gave us prednisone when the pills were actually prednisolone

Which are largely interchangeable.

But!

Some cats have trouble converting prednisone to prednisolone

Especially since it's the liver that does it and hers is already fucked up from fat deposits

I really, really hope the prednisolone works

Dr. Binder said she'll try and pick it up/drop it off for us herself

UGH I hope it does too and that they can get it to you ASAP

The one good thing that's happened in this mess!

We chose that vet literally cause they're in the same town

But they've been lovely

It says a lot when the vet doesn't just treat the cat, but pets the cat and kisses her head

And drops stuff off for us/has people pick up kitty, etc. Since I don't drive

so the transdermal was the wrong med?
