It's only two paragraphs thus far! I just am not used to having to fit things into the timeline of a canon I'm not familiar with so I've spent a lot of time looking around the Pacific Rim wiki.

When you're summarizing lots of events in a short space, I find it hard to avoid the boring trap of "A happened. Then eventually B and C kind of there was some other shit too but no one cared about that"
