DC made them to be the corps that follows under Sinestro, who always used a Yellow Power Ring in the past.

The difference here is

The Green rings run on willpower

Yellows run on and deal with fear

so I'm writing a story of a guy who gets his power from fear, and uses fear as a weapon

but he's a good guy, I swear
