Feel free to simply pick classes and aspects freely, the second set of applications may very well have overlap with the first set. They'll be decided in comparison with each other, and not against existing ones

Though, for the record, Time and Space aspects are the least likely to be duplicated as there are already two of each.

Sarado is a trickster archetype. His lusus is a fox and he's fond of riddles and tends to leave questionmarks on everything he says just to mess with people

even though he'll say it's to make other trolls think

he also changes font colors every other day for kicks

his bloodcolor would be on the lower end of the spectrum. originally he was orangeblood? but anything from red to yellowish green works for him.

He's also got psionic powers which with the permission of the mods will be pyrokinesis

And because of his low caste he's learned to be paranoid as shit about irl encounters

at the same time he's intensely curious and his psionics are the only reason curiosity has not yet killed the fox

...because when in doubt, burninate, basically.

he's skinny and tricksy and not actually that much of a fighter physically, but pretty capable of setting up traps and scavenging, but I've always thought he lived someplace arctic

in some abandoned structure because he wouldn't bother to build anything and he wants to be mostly away from other trolls. as much as he mocks the hemospectrum he's actually fairly faithful to it.

in that he thinks that he doesn't stand a chance in the actual fleet and just wants to sit this shit out and not get culled. HIC is a way for him to pass the time but also a place to sharpen his wits

because out of all his skills he's proudest of his problem-solving. plus, everyone needs some social interaction.

he's also got a highblood kismesis because apparently some trolls are that kind of suicidal, but she's not coming into the game with him.

...he'll readily talk to people but he deliberately makes himself difficult to know. much more interested in picking someone else's brain than letting anyone pick his own.

the joke here is that Charlie is a human and has kind of become the game's two-wheeled device for unintended blackrom flirting, and meanwhile Jayael is a troll who reads more like a human a lot of the time ^^;

I kept watching this plurk and the replies while I was at work these past few days, and now I'm off for the weekend!

So i'm just chinhandsing at all the possibility.

However I have to chime in about a few things:

1) Overall we'd like to avoid overcasting, and since we have a lot of trolls in the middle and almost none on either end, it'd be great to see lowbloods and seadwellers.

That doesn't mean we'd auto-reject duplicate castes, but just that man we'd love to fill out the hemospectrum a bit more.

2) For a troll idea who changes display caste/color, be aware that that'd make a lot of other trolls immensely uncomfortable/angry very fast. Hemonymous is one thing, but deliberately mocking the hemospectrum?

A lot of trolls would not take well to that, tread carefully and be prepared to explain if you go that route. Lots and lots of potential for animosity there, and that kinda makes the character hard to trust.

(And in this premise where everyone should trust and get along at least enough that they won the game? Food for thought.)

3) Since plurk and my internet were butts yesterday, I'm just now getting to updating the things on the various pages now. Fixing character journal links and such

The original purpose of the reserves, back in December, was to get/give an idea of what the apped hemospectrum and genders were gonna look like.

Back in december's testdrive I tried out a seadweller who I... really... really didn't feel. So I ended up swapping out and going with Riidae. Really glad I did.

Also: The test drive will also offer up the chance to test against the in-game NPCs too, but they won't be as good to play against as the existing players.

SkyeGU: HMMM, I think the best way to put it is kind of like enchanced vision? Like, say, if her power has a radius of 5 km, she can see anything within that 5 km clearly.

But it has to be within her line of sight, so she can't say, see things behind her unless she actually turns around.

The character herself mostly uses this to go track down animals to hunt.

Seems like heightened perception would be an appropriate description?

5km's a wide range though, but it's pretty rare to have that distance be unobstructed.

The number is kind of arbitrary since I'm like "how does scale"

But I guess another example is that even if it were misty or raining she could still see clearly, as long as there isn't something actually blocking her view?

Her actual power range would probably like~2km or something

And it's just increased perception, so nothing like homing ability to see prey, like she could still miss seeing an animal if it was camoflauged or hidden, that sort of thing?

Yeah! Like, her power just ignores some environmental factors that might obscure vision but if something is actually hidden she wouldn't be able to tell the difference by herself.

And tbh the fact that she can basically see things clearly regardless of distance messes with her sometimes because that kind of screws with her sense of distance.

so she sometimes does dumb things like jumping to catch a hopbeast that is actually much, much further because she couldn't immediately tell the actual distance
