takes a bit to get used to the new interface, that's a matter of habit.

I prefer PS' filters, but GIMP does the job very well

you might want to try gimpshop... it's gimp with PS' interface

I'm a multi-app photo editor, photoshop for this, export to iweb for that, iPhoto for this, PIcasa for that, Gimp for this, Seashore...etc..
