the surface is a little bubbly, but it's totally intact, i was a little worried bc the silicone had started to glom up by the time we were molding

(the usual many little wtfs and strategic errors of the first time with a new sort of craft)

yeah, moldmaking and casting's always a little special in the beginning :U

looks good though!

made a vibrator hole that also served to conserve silicone, the stuff is squishy enough that it's kind of collapsible at the base

but i can always jam something in there, it's otherwise a nice consistency for something that large

you can see that i ran out of the purple when it was nearly filled and was like CRAP LEMME MIX A TINY BLOB OF NEW STUFF

oh wow

doesn't have some of the specialized surface treatments of some commercial silicone toys though so it is a ridiculous cat hair magnet

hint on figuring out how much to mix before pouring: fill your mold with water, then pour the water out

that's about the end volume you should have mixed up, but extra's always good just to make sure

yeah, i'd have done that if I didn't have to mix the shit 1:1 before pouring

like i had shitty paint cups from home depot and was kind of limited by where they'd bothered to mark them

(and I was being dubious and fussy and sticking to the marks, I probably could've made my own marks from measuring mold pourout if i wasn't derp)
