As in like I bought this dragon to keep, not exalt, but haven't bothered to name it.
Huh
/is the laziest about naming
I just assumed it didnt matter
joker
also I have at least 2 dragons I want to ripple noooo
joker
A lot of dumb things matter to this playerbase tbh.
I never used to name my dragons and then one day I named them all
I got tired of people PMing me with "your dragon isnt named and I want to buy it"
joker
I've only gotten that once so maybe I just have ugly dragon taste lol.
surprisingly i only have one unnamed dragon atm...i just dunno what to name her
joker

(more likely people don't know I exist because I don't do anything on the forums)
What is the argument for why they should have a name?
joker
same thing it always is: seeing "Unnamed" in their offspring bothers them.
haha
but what about joke names?
i had someone buy a dragon from me and name it "unamed"
would you rather see Poopie in your offspring's history?

I pointed this out on tumblr, but one person who was arguing for automatically named results said that if people exalt unnamed for RP reasons or to know what they've exalted don't like the automatic names, they
joker
should just ignore them!!
joker
and I was like "...and you can't just ignore the "unnamed" why...?"
this makes me want to find the people that complain about this and renamed the dragon "Unamed" because im a jerk like that
joker
I've seen some people do "Unnarned"
joker
with an RN instead of an m
joker
lol the person's like "So they could just name them NoName or something" and I'm like...
joker
they mean the same thing why would it bother you less...
im going to start naming dragons "Named"
joker
lmfao
joker
I'm just... the stupidity of this.
joker
You obviously do not have some deep emotional connection to a dragon once you sell it so why do you care so much what it's named.
joker
*if you sell it I mean
yeah....
Dragon the Dragon
if i do exalts from brought dragons again theyre all going to be named "Named" or "Dargon"
or better yet "Named Dargon"
haha
joker

omg yes
joker
If the name field were long enough you could do "LookINamedIt" or something.

When I buy a bunch for exalting purposes I always want to name them something stupid in a theme like Ke$ha song titles and see if anyone notices >> But I'm weak
i usually just randomize it
joker
yeah me too
joker
I only name mine because I don't exalt hatchlings I exalt adults that are coli trained.
joker
So I have to.
joker
But a lot of my own dragons are unnamed just because I don't feel like naming them.
joker
Or I haven't thought of a name.
joker
Or I have thought of one but I can't bother to click the name button and type it in.
joker
The Mt. Everest of lazy.
CChuuni
XDDD Yeah I name them because I coli train soooo
CChuuni

I got into an argument and the person was like "It wouldn't be harming anyone but a small subset of people to force exalts to be named."
joker
It's not harming anyone now!
joker
They were like "The only argument I've seen against it is people who purposely want unnamed exalts for RP" but the only reason for it is "I don't like unnameds in my list" which is stupid.
Mags
Do I want to know why you'd have unnamed exalts for RP?
Mags
Probably not
Mags
but I agree with you, really
Mags
it's not something to fight over
joker
Various reasons.
joker
A baby that died in the egg or died too young to be named.
joker
You have to do something to earn a name and they didn't.
joker
Whatever.

Belatedly, naming a dragon just to hassle someone (So "LookINamedIt") is technically against the rules...
mecha jesus
NOT THAT I CARE JUST...
mecha jesus
I don't want anyone to get banned for spite-naming.
joker
I think we were all just joking about it.
mecha jesus
I know, and it's really not that big of a deal at all? But they made a big kerfuffle over it, it even had its own newspost section.
mecha jesus
It's considered harassment...
joker
I know, I remember. No one here is actually going to harass anybody.
mecha jesus
No I'm not saying anyone is!
mecha jesus
Like I said, I don't think it's a big deal either??

Plus if anyone coming by is new, they might not have seen it. Personally I think UNNARNED is funny but the admins don't I guess. :U
joker
I love unnarned but yeah people would get huffy about it.
