Scary tonight. Was arrested for DWI. Handcuffed and put in the back of the car. Taken to the station. Patted down, given breathalyzer (which I refused at scene out of principle). Unarrested. Driven back to car.
I was all, I wasn't speeding. I wasn't driving erratically. If you can smell the beer on breath from the one I had 3 hours ago at dinner, you've got the best nose in the world. Next time I might just let it go
I'm glad you were not DWI and that they "unarrested" you. I've never heard that term either. Did they say why they stopped you to start with? Just being assholes?
I had that happen when I was a teenager. I was coming home from work and there was a Check Stop. They had these alcohol detectors that they put in the car (they've been debunked due to detecting perfume).
Needless to say, it detected, I was detained and made to blow. I kept bursting the tubes, which pissed them off and of course they treated me like crap. They searched my car (destroying it) and then called
the mobile blood unit to "prove I was intoxicated". Me, petrified of needles and cops, I started freaking out, which of course proved my guilt. Needless to say, they finally got blood (after threatening).
I of course had no alcohol in my system and was released (I was detained for over 4 hours). My parents were worried sick and had called the police looking for me as I was late returning from work.
