I seriously thought there were only four.
IMAGINE MY SURPRISE TO FIND V AND VI ON...
Even more my surprise they're uncut and unedited.
I like to think I've grown up, because I don't get the same anxiety that I got the first time I tried to watch Saw or even IV.
There sure is a lot of blood.
I have to wonder what actors were thinking about when they were filming these scenes.
"Hmmmm. I have to shove my hands into running blades. How do I act this out convincingly."
So the one thing that's always gotten me about these films is that... it took at least one person (more than likely a team of people) to develop the unique traps and puzzles used.
That actually bothers me more than the content itself.
Someone who would be capable of thinking up these various ideas is not someone I would consider 'safe,' as it were.
my friends and I watched all seven of them last year
we wanted to kill ourselves by the time we finished
because they got progressively worse and worse and just painful to watch (not because of the gore, because of how frickin stupid they were)
I don't know what I think of the actual stories themselves, but I'm always interested in the traps. In fact, that's really what drew me to them.
I remember when we finished the sixth one, I was so happy because I thought we were done, but then I discovered a seventh one and I got so frickin angry
Although, I wanted to see the first one because it had Cary Elwes and I love him as an actor.
Also, I didn't know there were VII.
I am so not watching VII if it's on next.
honestly that's why we watched the shit in the first place, for the gratuitous gore and interesting traps
it's not called saw VII I don't think it's like... saw rebirth or some shit
Only because I refuse to spend five hours watching this.
Rebirth... Sounds almost more like a prologue.
if you asked me what the story was in the last three films or so, I wouldn't be able to tell you
so I don't remember if it was a prologue
oh no it was called Saw 3D
Lmao. Well, I... never IV, so I don't know anything about that. I tried to watch it some years back, but there was this scene about drilling through bone of the skull and the sound made me nauseous.
the first three movies are okay actually
I saw... the one with the... needles.
it's like terminator: it could've stopped after the second
And that was shortly after I got over my needle phobia and I still got chills.
there was really only one trap that wigged me out
uh I just went on wikipedia to look it up
it was apparently the first trap in Saw II
where some guy has to find a key to unlock his deadly harness
BUT THE KEY IS BEHIND HIS EYEBALL
oh yeah and he only has one minute to get it
that was one trap where I'd be like "nope just gonna let myself die, sorry"
That one was pretty awful.
OKAY. THAT'S ENOUGH HORROR FOR ME TONIGHT.
Stay tuned for next time when I stream a playthrough of Calm Time.
(Why yes, that's a thing that will definitely be happening.)
