He has a couple of superiors in the company who are pissed he's dead, and lots of subordinates who are angry THEIR sensei is dead, but he wasn't really anyone's protogee

The closest was Stefan, as the two were colleagues and the closest thing to friends for a long time. But obv Stefan isn't bothered he's dead really

What has happened to Yao Corp since Kite died? Are they scrambling to gain control or did Kite's death not really matter in the long run?

Kite's death was HUGE

He was linked to a lot of their main innovations and things are pretty chaotic for them at the moment

They're scrambling outside the barriers, not paying much attention to you assholes at the moment

But once Stefan was out of the picture, they had to rely on Kite because he had worked with him the longest and was best placed to replicate his innovations

Although the Uzumaki was all Kite's innovation and so with him gone, that's harder to control too

Ahaha I can't give you specifics in case it comes up down the line. But I can tell you it was done with extreme prejudice and most of the remains were just bits of skin and offal by the end of it

It's pretty impossible. The only people who might have an inkling on how to do it are the people from the fullmetal alchemist universe, but even then it's been bastardized from the philosopher's stones they

use in that canon

Think of it like the FMA philosopher's stones and Junji Ito's Uzumaki had a baby with one of Tony Stark's machines

They definitely want to fix it. They couldn't build a new one, that's beyond them without Kite or Stefan, but they can try and fix the broken one and might be able to get it semi working again

Previous events where the fog rolled in where caused by Yao, it's the fog that was released when the underground room was uncovered that wasn't a Yao thing (that was a prototype by Stefan)

Kite was in love with Stefan, Stefan didn't really return the feeling, he was all about the friendship

It's sadly true, Kite was a manchild, Daniel is probably one of the most competent of my NPCs

because I have always been curious--I know you mentioned that the point of the fog event was to push the characters into contacting the rebels, and I sort of jumped the gun on that, so what would've happened

if nobody had brought up contacting the rebels?
