Runestar: i was happy rune, but at the same time i cried. 18 years with one person is a long time. i held on to hope for so long. that he would change.

he would understand his violence and anger would subside. because that wasnt the man i married that by some grace of god he would open his eyes.

do i miss him? no. actually. i do have my moments of sadness more for the loss of what we did have very early on and what we could have been

tonight i was laying on the couch, had the fireplace on, and looked over at my cat, i have her little bed under the tree, and she was snuggled in, happy, content, sleeping

for her, it was worth it, to go through what i did, just for that one moment, to see her at peace
