sorry if i missed this but what happens to old characters whose houses were completely destroyed who sleep outside of their rubble pile?

Houses with a dividing wall through them shouldn't be so badly destroyed that they can't be lived in with some fixing up. Unless people have been extra destroying stuff, in which case let me know which house as

the residents would need to be reassigned to new houses
