Body Skills: Struggle (melee combat) 15, General Athletics 15
Speed Skills: Dodge 15, Driving 15, Initiative = half of your Speed Stat rounded up
Mind Skills: General Education 15, Notice 15, Conceal 15
Soul Skills: Charm 15, Lying 15
you can name the skills anything you want
also you have one specialty skill. when you roll that skill you have the benefit of being able to switch the ones and tens digits to whichever order is better.
I might adjust the free skills by race :|a like, widows are shit liars, squids move too slow on land to be good at dodging, stuff like that
Also do you know what race you're playing yet?
feel free to adjust them, these are just for an average human after all.
I'm not sure quite yet about race yet,
maybe you could give me a sort of idea what the strengths/weaknesses are again, or what sort of roles the characters are playing?
The group as a whole are making an emergency research mission to the grey planet to find some kind of weakness. They can be scientists, guards, diplomats, explorers, soldiers, members of the slave rebellions
Rrutatarri are large, quick, imposing and physically powerful. They are also too heavy to swim or climb trees and most technology is poorly optimized for them
additionally, their mate status is complicated and important
Squids quickly pick up on social cues even from unfamiliar species, can breathe underwater and are extremely resistant to illnesses not specifically evolved to target them. however, their unique
bodies make them slow moving outside of the water, and they tend to be emotionally fragile.
widows are less intelligent than humans, averaging around the intelligence of a middle schooler at best, and the allied members of the species are almost exclusively traumatized males. however, they
have grey technology built into their bodies and are thus always effortlessly equipped for battle and can carry heavy loads easily. their stamina is through the roof.
reptilians are the speediest race, and can climb trees and even cliffs almost effortlessly. they're also highly intelligent, with higher averages than any other race besides greys.
however, most of the allied members have severe social conditioning they're working through may be crippled as a result of torture. they are also prone to illness and rely on heat tech to stay warm.
additionally, rrutatarri do not come in male/female, they come in incubator(also called a lord)/haremite, and squids have reversed gender roles to humans
widow females eat widow males during intercourse
and reptilians have very few distinctions between the sexes
hmm. I'll probably end up as a human or squid I'm thinking
THERE A GUIDE SOMEWHERE ON HOW TO DM THIS SYSTEM? because i just realized i have no idea how to have people roll for skills
THERE A GUIDE SOMEWHERE ON HOW TO DM THIS SYSTEM? because i just realized i have no idea how to have people roll for skills
I sent your gmail a link that should tell you all you need
thank you! also, i have come up with an idea for how your character concept could work in-universe!
greys are well-known for doing very unsettling biological experiments, and click has far more sway over the humans on the translation project than he should
if your character was a worker on the translation ship and died, it wouldn't be farfetched for click to be given permission to experiment on his body
and putting a brain in the wrong head is 100% something that fucker would do
which would also explain how they got onto this project, because abby's character is the closest thing to an expert on living grey experiments that the humans have thanks to the last campaign (she's playing
how anal retentive would the person in question have to be to get click to try this multiple times? (potentially)
click takes volunteers with creepy levels of enthusiasm
the entire species has a weird obsession with experimenting with their own and other species' bodies, it's one of the things you guys are free to try to figure out during the campaign c:
also in your opinion what would be the funniest juxtaposition of body/mind?
you could potentially turn a grizzled older man into a scrawny acne-riddled teenager, that'd probably be funny, other than that, depends on what you want to do with sex/gender stuff, i suppose?
true, something to consider. what about including the other alien races in this consideration?
i'd allow a squid body, a squid/human human or rrutatarri/human hybrid! rrutatarri bodies are too different from humans on a genetic level for even an alien mad scientist to connect without altering a lot
of other things about the body
so like squid > human, human > squid, or rrutatarri > human, just so I'm reading this right?
oh! i guess i didn't explain very well. if you remember from the last campaign, steve was half grey, half human. greys do that A LOT. it's a ~special challenge~
so if you wanted, you could play a character that was half human, half squid or half human, half rrutatarri
or squid bodies are available
you probably have to start human because the other two races would probably rather be dead than let a grey experiment on them
so how would stat changes work with a brain in a foreign body?
PLURK SHOW ME WHEN I HAVE REPLIES OMG
you take the bonuses/penalties of the race of the body, unless they're mind bonuses/penalties, and then i decide on a case by case basis how things would work
like if your character is newly in a body with different parts, they're not going to be as good with their hands, or they might not understand the way their body is signaling their emotions
