Johanna: insignis is another name for radiata pine, the most common timber breed, and Johanna's from a timber district.
Foamy would be fourth, but I guess I'm biased
It's also Latin for I think distinguished (I forgot), and Johanna's "not like the rest of you". Latin seemed appropriate for a Panemite.
(I actually wanted radiata but it was taken. But insignis turned out to have a double meaning anyway!)

Mikuru: bunnypassingby is abbreviated from "I'm just an innocent bunnygirl passing by" when she gets asked what she's doing somewhere.
I thought about changing it to bunnygirlpassingby after the move since it could fit, but I'd gotten too used to just bunny.
Touma: youngnobelman is a pun - he's a young nobleman (well, aristocrat) and the youngest Nobel Prize winner.

Jen: fightingforapurpose is a dub quote but I can't remember what the full quote was. It's his philosophy on fighting though.
