I am heart-eyesing at The Vital Question by Nick Lane and all the science nerds on my timeline need to read it
I've liked pretty much all his books, but I think this may be my new favorite science book period
It's basically a bioenergetics guy's approach to the origin of life and eukaryotes
And in totally unrelated news, I'd never been in a museum where most the captions were handwritten before.
It made it feel more old fashioned than some of the museums I've been in that I swear haven't changed in fifty years
