I think you upload pictures straight on wordpress? I have never used it though

Yes. But by using the url instead of the way i showed in the blog, you wont get to click through from the pic to flickr. Either way the

Picture is uploaded on flickr, so one upload.

Asthenia: what Colleen was talking about was for the featured image, for certain layouts in WP. So upload to Flickr. Post html link in blog post, and then link to Flickr for the featured image.

does wordpress strip out script stuff automatically? flickr changed their link code (and in your text pic you can see it) adding a script wrapper, but your actual post pictures don't include that.

colleenCriss: i'm not actually a fan of the new flickr wrapper (and remove it in blogger posts), but i have a certain amount of lingering interest in how various "easy" html editors sanitize code. interesting

to see that wordpress is very strict on it (it also discards the extra tag in the a href)- something that has ups and downs, it can be a royal pita when it discards things you _want_
