just got out of a forty-five minute meeting; we're all throughout the office split up in groups of four from random departments and no managers and we just
about how stupid this new work-flow process is
and we all left feeling rejuvenated about how we're all finally on the same page about something! namely that a lot of the changes made to how we bill time are convoluted and poorly explained
also, that it's all management's fault.
everything is management's fault
LMAO even the appointed 'moderator' at the meeting picked by management was just like "okay imma be frank with y'all i have no idea what the purpose of this meeting is supposed to be"
"let's just talk about this nightmare flowchart that now dictates how we push jobs through the agency and i'll write down what you say anonymously"
ALSO: and i'm only posting this here because my plurk's not linked to my irl social media unless you've hit stalker levels of attention, but--
i've more or less decided i'm quitting sometime after the end of this year.
i'm sick, and i'm not getting better, and i cannot make it stop while working a full-time job at a place i only marginally like
i'm going to pay off my car and set some money aside and work out my health insurance and take some time off. try to secure some freelancing work and see if i could feasibly make a living that way
because fuck 9-5, fuck the sun, fuck normal people working hours, fuck office life
i can't do it. i can't work during the day. i'm sick of fighting my body when it tells me THE TIME TO BE PRODUCTIVE AND ALERT IS 2AM
I'm glad you have a plan, Minder!
because from what you've been describing this job isn't really meshing with what you need with regards to your health.
we're all rooting for you!!!!
thanks guys
if you know ppl/clients that are looking for remote proofreading and can pay even marginally, gimme a shout!
i am just. so ready to have some time to not be stressing constantly without even realizing it ;_;
