[Work] The first round of layoffs ended today and it was all Salary people. [fear] But next year, us hourlys are next.

Yeah, the layoff beast came and went. No one I know got fired, but I don't know many salary people so.
Only one foreman I knew got fired (Beale), and some of the Rad Controllers. We're all safe!

They laid off 5 Apprentice Supervisors too, or so I heard. That does not bode well. This would be the perfect time to cull the herd of straggling apprentices.
Supervisors are salary, tho.
They seem to be going for them because part of their spending problem is that they promoted so many supervisors. It's a big problem on the waterfront, too.
Yeah, like most businesses they suddenly got chunky in the middle and had to cut the fat, but I don't know any supervisors that got laid off.
There were three from our area, but I only knew personally one of them.
I haven't heard of any on the boat, but I don't know a lot of people. There are also Apprentices who are Salary so....
