after the first ep I was really disappointed, but the second half redeemed it. It seemed too intentionally go-back-over-old-canon, which I love in fic but there's a limit on how much I want it on the show.

but then everyone went n-dimensional-chess-mastermind on each other (even if none of the plots made much sense, that I can live with in Who)

and that's all right. Also, Missy is the best Master since Delgado.
