Since let's be honest, plurk is a giant undertale bomb right now
which I enjoy
So like, I've been trying to get back to writing all my adaptations for the stage lately. I have a small list of nerdy series I've wanted to do as mini stage skits at the high school level
Such as my mini Steven Universe musical, etc.
But since jumping headlong into Undertale, I've wanted to do something for fun as an adaptation, even if I think it would never work logistically on stage
I drew some parallels recently to undertale's story frame basically boiling down to the wizard of Oz. I really wanted to try to make a funny crossover as a screenplay to let out my creative steam
*stage play. But yeah, just to keep relevant characters on stage in this idea, why not structure a pacifist route with Papyrus, Undyne and Alphys as the companions?
Sans can do sans things. Come in and out. I feel like I don't have enough overall knowledge of how the fandom views Frisk's voice though.
Toriel is the good witch, Asgore is similar to the wizard. Then FLOWEY is like wicked witch on crack
They'd travel to the core together to meet Asgore, in this sketch I would attempt to condense the story into so many scenes. Keep all the date scene ideas and keep "fights" to a minimum
Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to do a skit where Mettaton has a dance off with Frisk. Because that's like my favorite thing ever
Don't know how many extra scenes I'd want devoted to other non-main monsters, since cast size is always something I try to narrow down. But UT is all about the smaller stories, so hm
I know some people like to characterize Frisk as actually being mute, or at the very least very emotive. I think it would be important to make lines
In this idea I would utilize a projector on a scrim or a screen to show larger necessary effects or characters such as flowey
The story is meant to be a game a hundred times over, so I'd have to figure how to recalibrate the feelings of playing it versus passively watching it. That's a big issue
Hmmmmmm yeah, that's good for now as an idea dump I think
Could have the 3 companions explain Asgore's story instead of passing monsters for the end. Like they all didn't say anything until that point, not just Alphys.
Still playing with whether or not multiple timelines. Might not be necessary. Since changing mediums means dumbing down
Traps are harder to work, but I think some could be remodeled to work.
I think I could try a version with RPG elements. Hmmmm. Not sure.
Okay okay I should just sleep on it
