On one hand, I'd love to see it

on the other, I see what FF7 is, and would.... Rather not see it go that route.

I admit I wouldn't mind an action-y game, considering the transformations would (theoretically) make for vastly different playstyles between 'em.

...that said, just fixing it up to look nice would be ideal, yeah.

It would be very nice, I just don't think the market is in a place where they would do a good job with it
