I'd forgotten there was a time when that was considered to be a full and complete application
I was going to crib from that too for an upcoming Folken app...
I don't think I could get away submitting that in 2016
Tenderly reaches for a_fac
;u; i was the 4th person to app in
i came in MUCH closer to the end, but it was still fun!
also a complete headache at times
What an app. Why was it broken into chunks?
i think partly because of word count restrictions for posting comments on LJ
and partly because I was writing it all first draft into those comments and thus was doing the sections one at a time
Nobody was using journals to house their apps back then?
because people could edit their journals at any time~
What were they used fr then?!
??? That's.... a bad thing????
whereas once an app is typed, it's out there in public
so people won't cheat and edit it up after submitting
if you submitted an app it was submitted
you couldn't dive in and keep adding extras
But... typos? Sentences that could be fixed???????????
or sneakily edit it up and argue with the mods that nuh uh, that section was always there
RP is a stupid hobby, why am I here
different times, different values
it shifted over the years
I have a feeling there's a reason I wasn't involved in it THEN but have meandered over now.
nope, if you edited up your typs too much, that was a sign that you weren't that great at English to begin with
I say, being the typo queen, that was a difficult one for me
I guess it'd mean that you would potentially be editing your posts all the time in game which could be annoying.
but if you couldn't write out a decent app with minimal typos, then obviously you were going to be dire to play with
I wonder if that ever held true?
