Hazel takes a while to get comfortable with people in one on one situations.

In a group she's loud and brash and is fine getting all touchy-feely with people.

But when everyone else leaves she gets more subdued and withdrawn.

It's mildly uncomfortable for her.

But you know you're getting into her good graces when she starts to mess with you, teasing and softly snacking your arm.

She shows affection through her actions, rather than words.

And when she really gets comfortable with you, she'll act almost staged for affection, nuzzling up like an impatient cat and using you as a pillow.

She receives affection somewhat timidly when she doesn't initiate it.

She feels really dumb about it, but unprompted affection makes her nervous.

But scratch behind her ears into her feathers when she's a dragon and she will melt.

Actually, scratch her head when she's human too and she'll melt.

She has a habit of clinging, but it only happens with family and close friends.
