well, I mean considering they're not killing off any of the DR2 cast as the despair arc goes along, with a pretty large cast it makes sense that some characters would get shafted

but you barely learn anything about Ibuki as is in DR2

and the fact that she (and a couple others) got distinctly ignored concerning a certain event that they were shown to have been involved in doesn't give me any hope that I'm going to be seeing much of her

to be honest it comes off as a bit ooc of her to just going sadfais along with the rest of the crowd, considering her silly behavior on freaking Murder Island

yeah, it's unfortunate that a lot of the not-important-to-the-eventual-plot characters are just kind of... existing. kind of expected, IMO, but unfortunate.

(I mean, she's important to the Twilight Syndrome case, but they literally glossed over that whole thing. probably because it was already pretty fully developed in DR2.)

I'm thinking/hoping they might do more with the cast as a whole as they get to ~despair~, but that all depends on how long they keep the laser focus on Hinata and Nanami in the limited episode run they have.

course, the future arc people are getting a good amount of screentime here to explain things so who knows how much more they're gonna butt into despair arc xD;;

I'm hoping not much, tbh. Chisa's allowed because she's basically a despair arc character with a cameo in future arc so far, but please keep these guys mostly to their own arc...

well, remember, Togami wasn't even in Hope's Peak at this point. it'd make no sense to imitate someone without a SHSL talent.

But then why does SHSL IMposter show up as Byakuya in the simulation?
