i much prefer the overall tone of FoNV to Fo3

Fo3 was framed almost like... everything was awful and depressing and forever grey/brown?

but right from the get-go, FoNV is bright and charming

life is awful and humans are awful, but by golly we're going to have fun on our way through this awful world

which is kind of the game i like

as far as gameplay goes, VATS is a lifesaver and probably the one thing i wish there was a true equivalent for in the Elder Scrolls series but what can you do

i am terrified of deathclaws

i'm also terrified of radscorpions

feral ghouls

pretty much everything except other humans & geckos, and even sometimes geckos terrify me

disclaimer: i'm level 6 in FoNV

so my sampling of the game has been somewhat limited

but i eventually hope to get the GotY edition and enjoy the full breadth of things

and on a final note

i ship my Lone Wanderer and my Courier
