In a quick note about when the holidays start, I believe to recall (correct me, if I'm wrong, I'm not good with remembering numbers) it has been discussed in a plurk that they start 21st December in Hogwarts

However I am not sure anymore and I welcome additional thoughts on the subject

I believe that was the case based on looking up normal uk school holidays (however that is also a wednesday...which is also strange...)

I have no idea anymore. It's been ten years since I finished high school, I have no idea what the normal school holidays are

But one idea would be either start them on Monday, or extend them through epiphany

though the latter seem too long, and the former makes more sense.

Why is Wednesday weird? iirc kids here in the us would start a vacation mid-week

And I know we're talking about the uk but still. We don't have to be strict with it

dunno, I guess we're more used to weekend-weekend for school holidays. It just feels weird for it to be mid-week.
