I think I regret dropping Futuro a bit. I miss the bustle and the community and the events

but man it would have been hard with most of the folks I did most of my tagging with were bowing out too, and honestly, I wouldn't have made AC in December with so much going on

but I miss y'all and I miss playing Evan

Things are going strange!

like, mostly good-strange but strange

still house hunting, we're now in month 4 of trying to find a new apartment

and some personal stuff's come to a head that's demanding a ton of time to deal with, so that's good

we are being hella picky, so that's not helping the quickness of the hunt

but this fucking market... I think it's like a 0.4% vacancy rate right now which like, actually constitutes a housing crisis

It is, isn't it?! and we keep finding places that are almost but not quite right

we found THE PERFECT PLACE the other week: really good space, really good price, really good location

but then... we met the landlord

and he was a super, super creep

like I'll put up with a lot, I don't care if he's absentee or stuff takes a while to fix

but the more I talked to this guy, the more I couldn't stop thinking how uncomfortable I'd be with this person owning a set of keys to my living space
