i'm content with Brette though, i just occasionally consider dropping the silent "e" at the end

brette with an e sounds graceful, brette without an e sounds like a fratman

but i'm so used to it being there since i've had to spend my whole life correcting people over it

i have bronchitis now so i can't wear my bind so it was extra awkward when one of my professors got confused about which pronouns to use

god, if i were a professor in portland i think i would make everyone go around with name tags and pronoun indicators

the young people breakin down that gender binary these days, can never be sure by looking

but the snow last month threw everyone's syllabus out the window and i think he accidentally skipped that part lol

and he doesn't normally even take attendance so last class was the first time it came up

since he's a german prof and refers to everyone as Herr or Frau
