I've only ever lived in WA, but I've visited a lot of places. Red is roadtrip, amber is at least one full-on vacation, whether for work (GA) or play. Blue is multiple vacations and/or two+ cities.
I blame Doctor Groovy for most of the oddball ones. GA & SC, my first trip to OH, my cumulative two+ weeks in PA, NY was both con & work. TX was con, as was NJ. Family in ID.
cyphercat: It kind of has been. It surprised me a little to lay it out like that, but I did spend a couple of years going to as many anime cons as I could. And then there was Dr. Groovy.
Dr Groovy: job that I had selling copper head massagers, wine racks, and clay hair wraps all around the country at art festivals, home shows, and county fairs.
spaceturtle: Indiana has been instrumental in some very strange experiences in my life. I don't know that I'd ever want to live there, but I'm on six or so years of trips to Indy for GenCon.
spaceturtle: My dude's from downstate Illinois, and he has lots of friends around the Midwest. It's a little inevitable that I'll end up hanging out there some. :<
spaceturtle: That is pretty much my impression of living there, tbh. I've gotten used to wandering around for a week in the summer & found a couple of things I like, but overall D: no thx pls.
