á propós of nothing, I just find it hilarious
it really makes you think japan has a warm winter
they don't make toilet seat cozies for nothing
it's just that heating and cooling is somewhat of a normal thing, that's why they have kotatsu tables
also Japanese clothing is pretty thick and layered during the winter months to keep them warm.
but Sano... sheesh. such pride in that beautiful chest of his lol
my usage of normal was wrong. I didn't mean that word lmfao
I meant new-ish. remember Japan's a place steeped in tradition and they only started updating to the rest of the world's cultures in the late 1800's
I don't think it was a huge modern thing until what, the 1930's though? (I'm probably wrong, but I seem to remember they were playing catch up to the rest of the world until just a couple years before they bombed Pearl Harbor)
according to those outfits? it's tropical.
like, I know it's not. I'm just commenting on the extreme realism.
Kyoto: Annual Weather Averages. August is the hottest month in Kyoto with an average temperature of 29°C (83°F) and the coldest is January at 5°C (40°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 5.9 in May. The wettest month is June with an average of 240mm of rain.
and I consider my theory confirmed
yeah not a weather for an uncovered chest
Well, the Japanese do say "idiot's don't get colds" so... XD
well. if you look at it that way...
honestly though? that sounds a little more mild than the weather where I used to live
not by much though since average winter weather was somewhere between 50 and 70
It's our average december degrees and trust me - you need to dress a lot warmer than that. 0°C is where water freezes.
especially, as I imagine, Sano would be freezing, since he spent half of his life on Shikoku
but yeah, sure, chest pride is more important
they're not that far from each other though?
no, but shikoku is a few miles more south than Kyoto
he's literally just going up and to the east by like 200-300 miles onto the main land lol
I might be overestimating the miles though idk. that was a guestimate
apparently less than 200 lol
I can say as a former (sob) floridian that you can always spot someone who's used to the weather. or just doesn't want to abandon things like flip flops, as I used to wear them even when it was super duper cold out. my feet could suffer while I wore a hoodie
BUT maybe Sano's always run warm?
but kyoto is also closed in a valley. a friend has studied there for a year, she says the air is totally stale, especially in summer. more than in osaka and that's already one of the most humid cities. but osaka (and Ehime, which is where Sano's from) are open to the sea.
I wonder how valleys work in winter. Are they colder, because the cold stays in and can't be heated with any warm currents, or are they warmer because the heat from the summer escapes slower.
But yeah, by the looks of it, he might be a living furnace
a little bit of both, actually
so either the weather goes right past or it stays here and keeps things cold
there's also very little breeze in the summer :/ I'm used to living near the sea where there's a breeze always blowing in to cool things off
so do I (all my life, since both Vienna and Bratislava are situated in valleys), but we get warmth from the gulf current, since we're nto surrounded by high mountains
microclimates make my head hurt.
sadly I'm too far from any coast where I am and I'm too close to the mountains so I get shit weather
lol one instance he doesn't cover his chest...
first one that I have seen
from the looks of it if the shirt can be opened or unbuttoned sano will do so but if it can't then can't be helped?
or maybe it IS open. beneath all that armor...
I'd go as far and say it's highly probably, given the evidence so far
