I have actually been waiting for him to croak. That species are only supposed to live five years and he had a paralysed fin, a bent tail, and had to rest on the bottom a lot.

He was also single fin-edly responsible for the deaths of at least four other fish.

It's just sort of hilarious that he got squadged by the filter instead of actually dying of old age.
