Sorry for writing in English here. My Spanish is quite lame. But I can write in Portuguese, se você quiser

no problem, Portuguese is easier to understand by listening for a Spanish speaker, than read it.

Well, I've worked with some Spanish-speaking people. I could understand them, but they had to speak real slow.

Mexicans were usually easy to understand, whereas Cubans are hard as hell. They speak too damn fast. Where are you from?

When I listen to someone speaking Portuguese it takes me sometime to realize it's not Spanish

So I have tried to read the same way but it was not the same XD. I can't understand written Portuguese.

Why not? The structure is pretty much the same. Nouns and adjectives vary a lot sometimes, but mostly it's easy to understand.

I think the same, but I just don't get the idea.
