There's a service called Moviepass that just went down to a $10/mth subscription. For that, you can go to one movie every day at no additional cost. I thought I'd let people know - service itself has been around but more expensive for a while now, the price point just dropped from around $30-35. 90% of theaters in the US are supported.
There are like 3 movies in theaters I want to see right now, and with the price I probably wouldn't bother actually seeing any of them in theater. But the idea of $20 bucks to see all three with my GF, plus anything else we feel like? It sounds a lot better.
(Wonder Woman, Spiderman: Homecoming, and The Dark Tower. Yeah I know the third's supposed to be terrible, but I wanna watch Idris Elba go be bad-ass and never read the books, so.)
I've heard. All the personal testimony I've heard has been really good, but all the spoilers I've heard on the other hand haven't done anything for me. Hence why I need the different price-point to give it a try.
We've also got a little non-chain theater downtown that gets indie movies and plays old movies sometimes. Ohh. We wanna see that too! (Though we're really peeved Johnny Depp is in it) also the new Thor movie. xD
Hey. My figuring is if you go once a month, with the prices of tickets these days you don't lose anything. If you go more than once, you're making out.
