holy shit my retail job has zero respect for my time/my primary job.

It is beyond infuriating constantly having to chase down my DEPARTMENT MANAGER to get her in the department to relieve me so I can, y'know, not be late to my second shift.

5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes after

then I find her laughing in the back with the manager like she's got nothing but time to kill

Today was the last straw. I told her what needed to be done and walked out. When another manager tried to stop me with "Can I get you in the copy department?" to help a growing line of customers as I was getting ready to punch out I gave her one of these: " Nope! I'm gone for the day. ___ needs to be up here. Bye!" and left.

She looked so disgusted and I'm beyond caring.

Maybe when she gets tired of having to cover for my coworker/"supervisor" she'll get on her case about being in the department on time instead of having social calls in the back office.

Ya'll are not about to cost me a DAMN GOOD JOB because you want to be petty fucks.

That is not a thing that is happening.

They better not bother calling either I'm not picking up the phone for work. She'd have all the info she needed if she'd come to the front.
