Herbert West is like. a predominantly amoral shittier Victor Frankenstein in that he's a medical student trying to reanimate the dead

he's very blunt and he makes poor decisions constantly

all the corpses he brings back are super violent and incoherent

until they're not, which is worse

Dan is the star medical student who ends up wrapped up in Herbert's bs because Herbert decides he's useful and then develops a crush on Dan

Meg is Dan's long-suffering girlfriend who deserves better and tries to get Dan to not be an idiot about Herbert

Dr Hill is a gross professor and the villain who regularly steals work from his students and his peers

he'll do anything to get ahead in his field

hahaha

Francesca is an Italian freedom fighter I think that Dan meets in Peru. she's in the second film to make it more het and to be the new voice of reason

the Bride is an assembled creation that Herbert makes because he doesn't understand heterosexuals and he thinks making her will stop Dan from leaving him

none of that was an exaggeration

she's also my perfect daughter and I love her
