today on I Moved To California So My Family Can't Keep Track Of Anything I Do: stepdad failed to notice that I moved to a different apartment almost TWO YEARS AGO and has sent christmas presents to the wrong apartment for two years running now
and on top of that, the address he seems to have had for the old place was incorrect
but last year he didn't ask me if I got his stuff so I had no idea
so he messages me this morning like "I hope you're still living at verner bc amazon one click"
which, amazon one click, not even once
and I was like "nnooo?" and he was like "oh no"
so I'm relaying all this to ello and she calls the office of our old place and they have absolutely nothing in the office for us/our old apartment number
and nothing in the logbook that would have been returned-to-sender or w/e
so I tell him that and he's like "how long ago did you move?"
and I'm like "almost two years ago" and he's like "oh no you didn't get anything from me last year either..."
???????????????????????
I don't expect people to remember exactly when I move! but it's been long enough that it probably should have been remembered
or at least like "I seem to remember you moving at some point what's your address" instead of AMAZON ONE CLICK my god
he said one thing hasn't yet shipped so he submitted an address change on that one and said he'll try to fix the others somehow (either by repurchasing or... idk) and obviously it's all completely out of my hands
but it's just one of those little things that makes me very aware that my parents cannot be bothered to stay on top of anything about my life because I live so far away (outside of like, my birthday)
