under normal circumstances the work/school thing is slightly less stressful bc I can get out of work as early as 4 and then just come in to school for a few hours a few days a week
like, it's still not great but it could be worse.............. like it is right now
bc of this bonkers project we're working on-- we're through most of the brands w/ 800 SKUs or less, but as of right now we're still only at about 25% completion
the project is now slated to run through feb. 2
and everybody is doing overtime; I do 1.5-1.75hrs of overtime daily and would probably do more if I could, lol
but it's like... completely burning through all of my energy
it's really hard work and there's a lot of reading and squinting at screens and it's just... it's tiring
and I've barely been able to go in to school between being sick and just being too tired to even think about doing school
I came in today and made it through a lab unit but I know I'm not absorbing any information, it feels like everything is just bouncing off
I told the student services administrator (who is real cool) that I had this project that would run through most of January (this is before it got extended, obviously)
and she put me on LOA for a week
which is... not enough time, lol
LOA is good bc it's not a strike against me or my attendance but I'm stressed that I have to ask for another one
donna suggested that I ask for one that extends beyond the scope of the project 1) in case it gets extended again and 2) so that I can have time to recover from it before going back to school
the project is... hard on everyone on the team; esp this week when we went half the week with no managers in the office and the holidays meaning people are just taking PTO all willy nilly
next month I have two cons AND this project
AND I'm still being trained on stuff as I work on it
I'm tired all the time and I never get enough sleep and thinking about school makes me want to cry
it'll be fine once the project wraps up but until then like I just cannot
even with all these long weekends I'm just kinda... thinkin' about work...
anyone who says that desk jobs are easy work is full of shit and I'm gonna eat them
