I feel bad for creators over the backdrop issue. I really do. I know how it feels to know that someone is "giving away" your work, since I sell full perm items and it happens all. the. time. But it's part of selling full perm. And it's part of selling poses and houses and as it turns out, backdrops.
gotta be a grown up and realize that it just comes with the territory I think. If you start inconveniencing your customers terribly to prevent it (with scripting) you're probably going to lose a lot of sales. And the truth is, plenty of people who share stuff, buy more stuff. The people take advantage of shared things (publically rezzed) probably weren't
Yeah they fail to realize that the ones who would use that the most is not their targeted market...those who are would want to buy them to put to use on their own sims. But when you don't fully understand how marketing works, then stuff like this happens.
