I have thoughts about getting a bigger pegboard to display my charms better and not need 342398 small boards
but I'm still kind of mystified by how to display buttons since I have so many now
I always look at other people's displays for better ideas but I always feel so lost when I try to apply it to my own goods
I wondered about getting hanging bags for the pegboard too just for ease but stuff could much more easily be stolen that way
I just want to make the whole tabletop more... concise?
yeah, I've noticed that people are often hesitant to flip through things unless it's like, a really large portfolio that's obviously prints, I used to keep one with all my mini prints in it (before I ran out of tabletop space...............) and people always had to be strongly verbally encouraged to look at it
even though I had a little sign on it like LOOK THROUGH ME!
I think typically people don't like to touch goods on the table? which is nice sometimes bc it's annoying as shit to have people rattling your charms around or whatever, but it might just be a culture thing
I have been looking into rotating displays though! I'd have to do a lot of planning and measuring bc of how many designs I have now though, but stuff that encourages interaction like that might be nice
(and rotating things are different bc you know it's designed to be touched so people are less skittish about it lol)
the more difficult thing with pins in particular is how the fuck do you attach them to things without it looking janky
right now I just shove the pins themselves right through the corkboards, which looks nice on the outside but causes a lot of damage to the boards and also means stabbing the hell out of your hands if you forget about it
some people get really creative with magnets but I just do not understand it
I've thought about doing that kind of thing before too
oh also I hadn't considered slatwall, they do make rotating slatwall displays too
OH ACTUALLY... barring going the 2D display route which I might eventually give in to lol, I could probably use something like
this on a pegboard display and just kinda hang buttons off it
no worries about even opening the pins
I have... about 130 button designs rn lol so that's. the struggle
I don't necessarily mind setting it up, it's just, uh... cost prohibitive
and I have to make sure whatever I get is big enough to hold everything x__x
