i KNOW i’m gonna have to park far as fuck away and uber or lyft closer and walk the rest of the way

he’s a mini golden doodle, so like 15-20ish pounds

yeah, i mean, lyft is the best thing to do, i think, but parking in dc is going to be crazy expensive

if you don't mind lyfting further out, you can park in my parking lot, it's like $5 a day

i usually metro in for rallies so i can't really help re: the parking sitch

HOWEVER i would recommend definitely bring a water bottle and be prepared to walk more than a few blocks away from the mall if you want to get any food that isn't from a vendor cart

there should be porta potties if the rally has done the whole permit thing but if there's not, you might be able to use the ones in the museums, idk what their policy is for dogs though

otherwise, you gotta walk for those too

there really aren't many coffee shops/restaurants close to the mall and the ones that are close-ish will be HEAVING with people

and if your phone dies and you can't use google maps, just remember, alphabet streets are horizontal (east-west), number streets are vertical (north-south), and state streets are diagonal (virginia, etc)

so as long as you remember the intersection of places you're trying to get, once you figure out what cross street you're at, you can find you way there
