I thought it was broken.. it just wouldn't recognize 3/4 of the music in my library

I had been trying to make the rotten thing work for five days

what was wrong in the end?

I am not really sure but I had to restore factory settings

a lot of my music is from limewire, so i think that it wasn't recognising those files as well

argh Ipod makes any music other than from itunes difficult...drives me batty

i thought that my head was going to explode
