[rp] game concept: a horror-survival slash exploration game with heavy resource-management themes and an emphasis coping from isolation within a small, tight-knit community.

basically what i'm envisioning is a small clearing with a rickety shelter that can house about ten people, in the middle of a dense forest full of dangerous creatures. the game would hold about 100 characters, so obviously the facilities wouldn't be enough and they would be forced to build their own defenses, find their own food, etc etc
This feels vaguely The Maze Runner-esque to me in a way which i love
there would be no obvious means of escape and no apparent end to the forest no matter how high they climbed, so they would be forced into the mindset of instead trying to build a new civilization and just live from day to day. i think it would be good to give out activity bonus points for things like fortifying defenses, hunting for the group or things like

yeah, i am thinking something along the lines of maze runner, or a dark room.
i was also heavily inspired by a creepypasta about being stuck in an endless ikea, but i didn't want to steal that setting bc it was very unique

more exploration than horror but
yeah, i'm not sure how much i want to use the horror part of it... i wouldn't want to use it just as a mechanism to keep the characters contained, but i also wouldn't want them to deal with security breaches every other fortnight

atlas was desert so it forced characters to keep moving to find water/food
perhaps certain player actions could lead to horror themed events; like, trying to use a new water source could lead to a desease spreading through the camp
