but like... after graduating grad school you're going to shell out a couple hundred bucks to walk across a stage in a polyester robe for two seconds

if it sheds any light on this, i don't care about walking for undergrad but i would almost certainly do it for grad school

everyone goes to undergrad so what's the point

in my case it was because I got told I'd never graduate uni, so having that tangible ceremony occur was something I really emotionally needed

that makes sense

and to be fair i would walk 500 miles across a stage and get a PhD from a Finish uni if it mean I could get a sweet hat and sword: Doctoral hat and sword — Jyväskylän yliopisto
