ello wondered if there's another medication that would work better for me now (lexapro was selected because it had worked for me in the past and also it was least offensive on the side effects front) and it's something I've also wondered on and off for a while

but when I start a new medication I get all the side effects like nausea/dizziness/sleepiness in full force for 3-5 days (or longer, if the med ultimately doesn't agree with me) and can't do jack shit during that time, but I can't afford that

I don't have the time or ability to engage in the med search game

I guess I could talk to my doctor about raising my lexapro dose again since I'm only taking 1.5 pills rn

I'm just very tired of being sad

and cranky

and nothing is fun anymore

I need to be engaged, like, constantly

but also I don't want to do anything except sleep

I've been sad for fifteen years when do I get to be happy

I'm slacking off at work more than I should just because I can't focus on anything lol

I mean to be clear my work is still absolutely getting done, just. less efficiently than I would normally do

You could also talk to your doctor about adding a second medication if increasing the dose proves ineffective. I've been considering that as an option lately too only bc I know they won't give me an effective dose here and I'm feeling the same way

I mean the problem is the same as just trying something else entirely re: side effects, if I start anything new at all I go through the wringer with side effects for like a week
