So, a little background, I guess: For the past year or so I've been helping a friend of mine with her vegetable garden, and learning a lot from her about how to start one. she offered to gift me two tomato plants started from one of her own plants, and an acorn squash start, since her seeds actually took better than she expected.

I wound up with acorn squash, tomatoes, corn, two kinds of beans, and two last-minute basil plants I felt sorry for at the hardware store.

These pics are right after transplanting so they look a little sparse, but the first pot has the tomatoes and basil, and the second has....everything else, except the watermelon. I just got the dirt today to spread some of that out into a third cloth pot, so I'm going to do that tomorrow.

The basil was rootbound--it should have been put in a bigger pot a long time ago. I'm hoping it'll be happier with this.

BUT YEAH it's been a week since I planted the pots in the first two and they're looking much better? The corn just kinda shot up

That’s super impressive I can’t keep a plant alive so I’m always so happy when others can raise gardens haha

Well, not food was plants at least. If only I had the same skill as I once did growing pot.

I'm honestly still half convinced that the plants I'm solely responsible for will die, ahhh. but it's exciting!

(actually if you have any tips for growing that I'd love to hear them, I'm probably going to be considered medical eligible soon)

(and being able to grow is, well, a helpful perk)
