A few people have had questions about this, so we want to note it officially: Please refrain from holding any Halloween day parties. While other festivities are encouraged, there is currently a party up for Gale's birthday here that everyone is invited to & there will be another party on Nov. 8th (masquerade ball).
That said, there will be a minor day-of Halloween event that won't interfere with other festivities if you want your character to host something, but please be sure to note it on either events approval or events calendar pages so there aren't 20 things going on at the same time. 
Is this because I put Gale's party? I hadn't thought this would have a knock on effect of everyone else in the comm being asked not to do something for Halloween...
No, definitely not! There was already another party scheduled too.
Can I or can I not have a Pokemon costume contest? Because I suddenly had the idea for Chiaki to do that at her business...
We want the parties that are scheduled to get attendance and there are a million other halloween type events that can be done. We're just asking that if anyone wants to do something, it not be another party.
Oh, phew! I'd just be really upset if I'd accidentally upset a lot of people and their plans, is all!

and I was going to do a concert this month that I've been planning for a bit
but... XD now I'm unsure
I'm happy to move the masquerade ball to a later date if it would clear things up a bit for other parties! Especially since it isn't really Halloween themed.
tbh we have had a lot of parties so it would be good to see some other types of event anyway, so please don't worry about it

so the concert should be in the calender is what you're saying? (just making sure)
if it's a large-scale event and not just something for you and yours (like if you're just doing a post where he plays music, no, but if it's a large event you want to invite people to then yes)
hmm... well I mean he's a big star (canonically in game) so it will be a large event and he will invite his CR but not many people actually tag into it so
maybe I'll put it on there just in case

In most of the cities yes, but Everglade is less stoked on it than others since it's mostly a bunch of people butchering their monster culture.

for the most part they wont stop anyone from celebrating, but it's definitely considered more tacky in everglade than something to celebrate. if the detail helps!
