How commissions work is that I request you pay for the yarn in advance. This ranges from $3-6 a skein depending on the brand and quality of yarn you want if you have a preference. For worsted my default is Red Heart and for soft yarns I go for Caron Simply Soft like. If you want a wool yarn the expense per skein is usually about $6-8, depending on brand.
For purchasing the materials, you can either PayPal the amount or purchase the yarn you wish off of a site of your choice (I recommend Joann’s or Hershenners).
The default scarf is 4-5 inches wide and approximately 5 feet long. The dimensions can be adjusted to your preferences. This amount usually takes one skein of yarn or two if alternating colors.
Leg and arm warmers would be made to your requested dimensions. They would approximately take one skein of yarn.
Hats take one skein of yarn. I make these on a knitting loom. They are beanie style and a Pom-pon/puffball on top is optional.
If I do not have the colors on hand and they are being ordered or bought at a store this will take approximately one week. The production time is less than one week.
The charge for labor will be an average of $6 with a tip if you want. Shipping is free, except if it exceeds $5 I request that you pay half. I don’t anticipate this being an issue unless with expedited shipping or international shipping.
There is, of course, a refund guarantee if you are unhappy with the product you receive.
With that in mind, please remember each item is hand made and therefore may not be perfect because I am but a mere fallible human.
